John RI have a 99 Galant ES that I want to upgrade the wheels. Any recommendations for 16x7 wheels?
RyanIs this just a dress up type change, or are you really interested in improving performance too? What size wheel are you currently running? How much do you want to spend?
The lighter the wheel the higher the price - generally. American Racing wheels aren't particularly light but it all depends on what you're using the car for.
Tire Rack's a good place to start. The link below is for a '99 Galant (there are others) and you can pick various wheels to see how they'd look to get an idea.
John RI'm not after a performance improvement. The Galant doesn't come with a manual, and automatics are never suited to a performance vehicle. This is the family car. I'm happy with the car the way it is, but the factory hub caps have to go! The V6 ES comes stock with 16x6.5 5 lug steel wheels with 205 55 16 H rubber.
laqnI think you will like OZ F1 Plus. I have a V6 Camry with those and I like them lots. They are subtly sporty and not too flashy or "ricey". I have 16X7 with 40mm offset and 215/55-16. Should work for you also since our stock sizes are similar.

Get high quality wheels! They're spendy, but if you don't, you will be downgrading, because the factory alloys on your car are high quality and have been thoroughly tested and proven.

Low quality wheels get deformed often. I have a friend with an Integra who is constantly getting blow-outs because the tires have a hard time maitaining proper pressure because his cheap wheels are deformed...
