sebastianI drive a 99 mitsu 3000 vr-4
I drive rather hard and quite fast
My tires are shot, and I need new ones.
I know nothing about cars, and need some help

The tires on the car are yokohama A028 size 245/40 ZR18
I would like to know what the best replacement tire is.
i am considering the Michelin Pilot Sport, possibly Pirelli P zero, or replacing with the same yokohama, or anything else that is good.
I would like to see some tire ratings if anyone knows where i can see this.

Thank you very much for your help.

the crusaderCheck out : everyone on
here recommends it. It provides reviews from buyers --> not manufacturers.
There will be some obvious favouritism though. (As I'm sure some people have something to gain by reviewing particular brands.) You'll find that anywhere I guess!

My best advice is to shop around!! Only you will truly decide wether a particular make/model feels right to you.

The Internet and the site in particular can be a great tool for finding much needed answers : but Beware: Some people may try to pass themselves off as an authority over the internet, so don't hesitate to hit the road and check out your local dealers too!

Be patient and good luck, the time you invest in shopping around will pay for itself in the enjoyment of driving your 3000 on new rubber!

donfromnaplesi like the fact that the Bridgestone RE 730 tires will last a little longer and grip just as well as any of the other three tires you mentioned. the Yokohomas are $302 each best price. No way worth it to me when the Bridgestones are $210 each. i'm also impressed with a good tire that is very affordable also lasts for a longer time than most ultra high performance tires-the Kumho Ecsta 712 for only $125 each. Now, you could spend $1250 for 4 Yokohomas or $550 for 4 Kumhos. Ask the people at tirerack about them. Still worried because you don't know that brand then go with the Bridgestones and still save about $400 over the Yokohomas and they will last longer so you save more there too.
cicastoli drive a mitsu lancer evo6 , i tryed bridgestone S02pp, pirelli pzero rosso(new) and now michelin pilot sport, for wet best is S02 and pzero for dry grip go for michelin!!!
