cyaleeYour help please!
I have a '94 Honda Accord LX and need advice on new all season tires. I was originally going to get the Michelin Rainforce MX4, but online opinions vary greatly from "best tires ever owned" to "don't even think about getting these."

I'm especially concerned about rain and snow. Any suggestions?

donfromnaplesi would recommend to you the Pirelli P400 Touring tire. It is a touring all season tire that does very well in the snow and rain compared to other tires. It is not expensive. They sell them at Sam's,and I have found these two places to have the best prices on these tires by far. These tires also last a long time. My e-mail is if you have any other questions.
CraigI put Toyo 800 Ultra's on my wife's Corolla. They are an all season touring tire with the highest treadwear rating on the market; 700. They have a 100,000 mile warranty, 100 day or 3000 mile satisfaction money back guarantee. They are great in wet, almost impossible to spin on dry, handle well and I expect them to last for the rest of the life of the vehicle. As for snow, we had a record snow this Winter, 22 inches, and we drove this Corolla to town twice. The snow was so deep it was actually plowing the road with the fascia. It never came close to getting stuck. These tires are very affordable also.
JeepersIf you are concerned about snow, do not use the Michelins in the winter! I have a set of Pirelli Winter 190 snow tires in a 195/60/14 used 1/2 season on a '94 Integra that should fit your car. Email me if you are interested in them -
DavidHi Connie;

As you now know, if you have 48 tires you will have 480,000 opinions. has surveys from accross north america and real people participate. With their cummulative input, you can decide which tire is for you. I own a large tire store in Canada and if someone walks in and hates Uniroyal, I sell Goodyear or Firestone.

50% of brand preference is based on emotion not fact.

Take care and have fun hunting
