Cliff I'm looking for winter tires (as opposed to pure tires) to get me through winter in the NYC area without sacrificiing too much performance (my regular tires are Dunlop SP 8000Es). I'm considering Pirelli 210 As, Michelin Arctic Alpin and Dunlop M2. I don't plan on driving in snow a whole lot, but need to be prepared for occasional ice, slush and snow. Any thoughts? Bender Pirelli snows always seem to have excellent dry weather performance. My P190s had better steering response and more cornering grip than my Michelin X ones. I always uses 4 snows and had then mounted on steel wheels so winter change over was no big deal. I guess some snows offer better snow traction than the Pirellis but with the Pirellis you can still drive your car very aggresively. Look at the speed ratings most are S or T, most Pirellis are rated H.
