WahidI forgot to mention one more thing in my previous post. I know this is not the right place for this post.

Is there another shocks which would give me a little softer ride?

Bill G.Sorry, missed your follow-up the 1st time!

Check out Edelbrock IAS's - don't know if it comes in your application, but it has a valve that's supposed to soften for highway use and stiffen when you need it to.

It will probably not make a huge difference though, s(ince the stock shocks are not that stiff. The last Explorer I drove was a rental on my last ski trip and it felt like a big station wagon.)

Most people who dive SUV's want the stiffer ride for the improved response and resistance to "bottoming out" against the bump stops when off-road.

Have you driven other SUV's that have the ride you are looking for? I'm not aware of any which have a "soft" ride.

RaymondMonroe Sensatrac are best compromise for comfortable ride and acceptable performance. Talk to your mechanic about them. THey are fairly cheap and last a long time. Motortrend TV just had a show where about them. They tested a Jeep Cherokee and found massive improvements in ride comfort and roadholding.
