Bill G.After looking at the Tirerack customer survey results, they list the Eagle F1 GS as #1, and the Firestone SZ-50 as #2. I have the SZ-50 now, and I love it, although it wore out too fast, but I didn't rotate if enough.

So, has anyone tried the new SZ-50 EP? Its new, has a dual compund tread. Its tread wear is up from 220 to 340, which is great. I would love to get the SZ-50EP, but am just wondering if anyone has tries it.

Also, what are your opinions of the Eagle F1 GS? I mean, they put these on new Vettews, they can't be too bad.

JamesOE tires with high performance cars like the Corvette and Porsches usually doesn't mean that they are the best. OE tire contracts are decided based on business relations, price/discounts and political pressure etc. Believe it or not, the actual performance of the tire is low on the carmakers' priority. For example, most of the time American cars stick with American tire companies like Goodyear and Japanese stick with Bridgestone, Germans with Continental and so on.
