rmccutchTime for replacement of tires on the 85 Jag XJ6. I am interested in comments from other Jag owners or owners of other heavy cars. Need 215/65-15 tires, probably H or V rated. Live in south Florida so no snow but plenty of rain. Driving either 80 MPH on Interstate or 45 MPH fighting snowbirds. Interested in experience with Pirelli P6000 PS and Michelin Pilot XGT H4 or other favorites.
KarlI would look at the Michelins - go with the XGT V4 if you want an additional step up in performance. I had to toss the Pirellis that came on my SL500 after 14K dur to poor tire wear!

I went with the Dunlop SP Sport 9000's (225/55/16) for the extra performance and wet traction, but I don't think those are available in your size. I had thought about the Michelin XGT Z4 though. If you don't care about performance and want a tire that wears like iron, look at the Michelin X-One. I've heard it lasts forever.
