RkFastWent to my alignment shop and has a four wheel alignment done on my 95 Integra, after installing four new Bridgestone RE930s.

After getting the car back, the steering wheel is off and the car pulls to the left. Brought it back to the shop. They verified the problem and put the car back on the alignment rack. They told me that the allignment they performed was within factory specifications and need not be re-adjusted. To compensate for the pull, the swapped the front tires and ajusted the front "beam". Car is MUCH better now, with a VERY VERY slight pull. BARELY noticeable.

-Was what my shop did a real fix or was the guy pulling my leg?

I expressed my concern about the tires wearing out faster now and he told me the ALIGNMENT SPECS are what will determine tire wear and as long as the alignment is within specifications, even with the steering wheel being a little "off", tire wear will be normal.

-Is this true or is the guy once again pulling my leg???

SwabbyWell, RKFAST, its like this... there is Castor, Camber, and Toe-In or (out). I've never heard of a "Beam" adjustment. the combination of these different angles cause the automobile to be self correcting in it's steering, so that on a level surface, the auto will correct iteslf and roll straight. If it "pulls" one way or another, then it is out of alignment or it has damage to the steering/suspension. I would take it to someone else, as I feel they will not correct the situation.
BillDubThere is one more thing that is pretty common in the tire industry. Its called "tire pull". If the steel belts in the tire are a "fraction" off-centered, it will actually make your car pull. Swapping the tires can make it either stop pulling or pull in the opposite direction. The alignment could be perfectly fine. I've worked in the tire industry for 5 years and have seen this too often.
