I did not care for the stock tires that came with our 96 Taurus GL, so earlier this year (1997) I purchased a set of Michelin X ones. They handle much better, quieter, and traction overall is better. I also receive free tire rotation every 7500 miles. I have not had any problems with the X ones and in my opinion a very good tire.
