Read the question. Bob listed his criteria for tire selection in order of importance. If Wear, Ride Quality & Handling were his top three the "Michelins"(which style) would be a 1# option. I have replaced Dunlop Rover A/T's and OE Firestone Wilderness A/T's with Michelin LTX P-Metric on two different Explorer's and you are right, total vehicle transformation. But add snow traction and the story changes. If you wanted similar traction to the Dunlop's you would have to go with LTX A/T's and sacrafice some of that Michelin "wear and handling".
