I've had firestone firehawks, goodyear gator backs, and my last two sets have been bf goodrich comp ta's, all z rated tires on my stang. none of these tires have given me good traction on the wet pavement or in the snow. but the bf goodrich tires(first set) lasted the longest. the average life of the tires for me has been about 12,000 miles. I think my favorites were the bf goodrich's. I got the bf's for about 136.00 a piece for 245\50zr16 from sears.
