You are able to move up in size without any problems. I've done it for many explorer owners and they have all brought good ratings on returned visits for upkeep. As far as an opinion for a tire, may I suggest the Uniroyal AWP or Uniroyal AWP Laredo. Both a very quiet running tire and good traction in all weather. A 70,000 mile rating. Plus you can choose between outlined raised white letters or black walls. The Goodyears are a very noisey tire that wears out quickly. Michelin LTX m/s runs quiet but you loose traction down the road shortly after install.
