your wrong.
Some tire manufacturers do use softer compounds on
Z & VR rated tires such as Gooyear Eagle and this
is why they wear out faster. Soft tires give a quieter ride
and give a different cornering effect. Michelin Z rated tires
are made of a harder compound, are a lot noisier
but last longer and the sidewall is stiffer so they feel
firmer on corners.
