The most important is to use 10mm studs. You'll get the best stud performance using
the special desing for Hakka 1 Kometa Marathon eco stud stud. A lot better pin than
regular studs, very light (.9g vs 1.5g) wich contribute to lower stud noise + a special
bottom flange that keep them in place for the life of the tire.
There is a breaking (or roading) period for all studded tires, please follow the
following procedure: no sharp acceleration or braking for the first 50 miles, no speed
above 50 mi/h for the first 50 miles, if you do that you are in business.
By the way, Nokian Hakka 1 with eco-stud are the safest combination in the world for
winter driving!
