Pirelli P7000 in snow

I recently borrowed the Nokian Hakka 10s off my 1985 Saab 900 SPG (needed them to run a ProRally in my Saab 99), and put the summertime Pirelli P7000s on so I could drive the car.

GACK!!!

I knew the wider tread would be a problem, but I didn't expect to feel so out of control! The rear end tried to wash out on a snow-covered gravel road curve at about 10 mph!

If people could drive on a good snow tire like the Nokia/Nokian brand for just a short distance, they would understand the necessity for snow tires in areas that see snow three or more months a year.
