I have a 1995 Honda Civic also. I do alot of highway driving. i found the Bridgestone Potenza RE-900 to be a superb touring tire. It's "T" rated for speed. About 190 KM/h. Which is all you need for a civic. If you want great traction from a touring tire as well as good hydroplaining resistance the RE-900 is just right. I've compared it to the Yoko AvidT4 and Dunlop D60 A2. The retailers i've spoken to say that the Potenza wears less than the dunlop and outhandles the Yokos.
