Based on the reports in this thread I wonder if Michelin had problems manufacturing this tire consistently. I have 12,500 miles (11 months) on mine on a Celica GTS and two need replacing. The other two look reasonably good!
I can't imagine there being such discrepancies in the wear of one type of tire.
