I had a miserable Merchants Tire experience recently. The
company did not want to honor their 30 day tire exchange policy.
They said it "cost them money" and that it was done as a
only as a "customer favor". They then tried to tell me the
problem was with my cars suspension, steering, or the weather,
or locust, anything BUT the tires. I don't enjoy being treated
like an idiot. Finally, only after a heated discussion with the
district manager did they agree to exchange the tires.
However, they refused to give the discount on the new
tires that they gave on the originals, which I see
as replacement change. Finally, they took
2.5 hours to install the new set of tires! Trust me,
unless you like wasting time and dealing with a company that
lies, RUN, don't walk, far away from Merchumps Tire!
