I own a 93 Camaro Z-28 and my friend has a 96 Camaro SS.
He replaced his tires with Firestone Firehawk SZ50's 275/40 17's
and i replaced my tires with Pep Boys Ultra Z futuras.
He is very happy as we both drive our cars fast.
We used to launch equally well when he had his Pirelli ???s and I had my yokohama S306s
(255/60 16s) Then when he got his firehaks he got several carlenghts launch on me with very
little wheelspin. Then I got my tires and they hook way better than my Yokohamas did.
I bet we'd leave the line fairly equal again, once we go at it again.
Both tires are REALLY awesome in rain (Floridian Rain)
The 255/5016's cost me only $99 each and in 275/4017s I believe they are only $129.
E-Mail me with any questions.
