The winterfire is one of the new generations of snow tires now on the market. The trend in the industry is to have a tighter tread block with a lot of siping and a soft compound. The tests I have seen on them have them gripping better than the old "town & country" snow that firestone sold for years. The only thing you need to overcome is the appearance of the tire. To most it looks like a glorified all-season! The jury is still out on the tire. I had some people like it last year but had a lot of skeptics that wouldn't buy it because it didn't look aggresive enough. Most people want thier snow to look like a snow. SM
