Goodyear Aquatreds

What is it with Aquatred's?I bought my first set for the
front in 1994 (P205/75R14) and experienced vibration at
speeds 35 mph and over. After the alignment was checked
again, wheel balance checked again, rim condition checked
again, etc; my local company owned Goodyear could find
nothing wrong. Two years later when I replaced my old rear
tires I moved the fronts to the rear and put Aquatred II's
on the front. Everything was checked again. Still felt
the vibration, but not as severe. Well two years later
(1998) I'm in Florida and develop a leak in a rear tire and
take it to Goodyear to repair it under the plan. They tell
me it's not repairable and offer to put an Aqautred II on.
I thought maybe to replace both sides, but fortunately they
only had a right side in my size. I opted instead for a
cheaper Regatta model tire and you know what?...
the vibration is gone! It was those awful Aquatreds.
What is it that Goodyear knows, but is not saying!!
