I have a set of BFG hr4's on my '85 GTI. no slide or squeal on the dry even with
rear wheel lifted in a corner. awesome in rain 80mph on the highway no hydroplaning
feels solid as the dry. $50 apiece at discount tire. But if you want to go in the snow
buy snow tires. Currently have dunlop graspics $49 at discount tire. They work
great almost can't get them to spin in the snow. No all season tire will give
acceptable performance in the winter.
