I just put a set of Fulda 'Extremo's' on my '95 Probe GT as a replacement for the OE
Gatorbacks. (225/ZR50-17 180AA W92).
My first inpression is a very fast initial response, then a bit loose through, but at least as
much ultimate stick as the gator's. I'm not sure about road noise.... at the very least it's
different, somehow 'softer'. I'm happy there because I was getting a bit tired of the Goodyear's
'rough' sound.
Given a $200+ dollar difference for the set compared to Gatorback's, I'm pretty happy for the
moment. I had a set of older snow Fulda's in the mid-80's, and I was pretty happy then. Big O
offers a road hazard warranty, but doesn't, as expected, offer a treadwear warrenty. (ZR tires,
and all that..;)
If I think about it, I'll followup with IMO tire wear and wet handling in a few months.
