If a tire fails because you run over a nail it is your responsibility to
fix it or have it replaced. If you hit a tree with your Chevy truck do
you expect General Motors to fix it for free, or even half price. By the
way, plugging a tire automatically voids any and all warranty on that tire.
No matter who manufactures it. As for you Ed, dealers should be more
understanding to people in your situation. I agree that the problem you
had lies with the inability of some dealers to help people from out of
town. My suggestion would be for you to call Uniroyal and let them know
what happened. It won't help you but it may help someone else down the
road.
