I've been to hell and back looking for a good deal on replacement tires for the Michelin TRX after being quoted $160 per tire by a local dealer. Here's what I found:
Best deal on new Michelin TRX is $112 at The Tire Rack 800-445-0179.
Only compatible replacement for the TRX is made by a european company called Avon Tire who was recently purchased by Cooper Tire. Avon Tire (800-847-3777) referred me to a local dealer (Al's Tire - talk to John Lee) at 208-376-8900. They said the Avon tires go for about $100 each.
Both of these dealers are willing to ship the tires anywhere in the U.S.
Two days after I found all this out I came across a set of 15x7 1992 Mustang GT rims with BFG Comp T/A tires for $150 in the local want-ads so I bought them and chucked my TRX's....
