All '96+ Contours with V6 option has 195/65-14 T-Rated Michelin MX4 with steel
rims as base tires. The 185/70-14 T-Rated Generals are base tires for all base
4-Cylinder Contours. The optional aluminum rims are 15" with Firestone GTA
205/60-15T tires.
My car has 26000 miles and is still under warranty. I have made an appointment
get my car checked out. Discount Tire has replaced two of the MX4'4, but the
problem is still there. You may be right, tires may not be the problem.
My experience with dealers is that it is easy to get something fixed
if I can find the problem.
