This is a description of my recent experience with NTB, you can use your own judgement.

After doing some research, I decided that what I wanted to put on my 93 Ford F-150 was
the Michelin LTX M/S. I called NTB and was quoted $96 a tire and in stock. After
calling a couple of other places, I thought this was a competitive price and decided
to go for it. Note that I was very specific about the model I wanted to be quoted.

When I arrived at NTB, I was told that actually did not have the LTX M/S in my size,
what they stocked was the Michelin LT4. The LTX M/S could be ordered but it was $107 a
tire, the LT4 was $96. However, the salesman assured me that the LT4 was the same tire
but was a model that was made for NTB, private label sort of thing. I then asked to
look at an LT4 and and a LTX (different size). Although the tires look similar, the
two treads have some very clear differences. I don't know if these are ignificant
differences, but they are different. I went somewhere else and got the LTX for $96.

The other thing about NTB is that they like to give you a discount for "coming in today".
The discounts are real, but, to me, this type of boiler room tactic is a real turn-off.
Just my personal opinion.
