the Bfg long trails are a good tire for the street only,friend has a set on a 95 s-10 has about
30,000 miles on then holding up pretty well,about alf tread left, if you drive in snow, or any type of mud
they blow, they are a good dry pavement tire, and ok on wet pavement, the get a bit slippery though.
not good for any off road driving at all, other than a county mantained gravel road. in other words a dir drive way

oh and the gas millage if there both a radial and the same size they shouldnt make any differnce, most shops try to push bfg
in there stores, dnt get me wrong bfg makes decsent tires
