Shawn I ran a set of nitto tires on my 67 cougar, got great traction, did great on handling, even better than my BFG COMP T/A`s
a 50 serais tire is a bit wide for a 6.5 incch rim the`ll look kinda funky and they will pop a bead easily in high speed cornering
I ran a set of 245/50/15`. on the back of my cougar with a 15x10 rim and they fit just right, rim edge was not stiking out side the tire
I dont know what kind of car your wanting to run them on, so i can not give you any more info, other than they do have a fairl short life due to the soft rubber compound
hope this helps
