Parked beside a Z24 recently and noticed that the tires on my Prelude apear to be narrower than those on the Cavalier Z24.
The tires on my Prelude are Bridgestone 205/50 R16 mounted on 16 x 6.5 rims.
The tires on a Cavalier Z24 are Goodyear 205/55 R16 mounted on 16 x 6 rims.
By my understanding they both should have the same tread diameter.
Whell they don't appear so. Also I've read that the tread width increases as the rim diameter increases.
If thats true shoulden't the tires on my car be wider?
Whats the deal is it because of the different manufacturer or is it the sidewall size difference.
