After an unpleasant episode with Pirelli p4s on my Civic CRX-HF, Sam's allowed me
full credit on a set of Michelin X Metrics. For all-around driving, these were the
best tires I have owned, with one exception: gas mileage dropped by 15-20% (50 or so,
down to 40 or so). Snow performance was ok; tracking was great, traction was so-so.
There was absolutely no hydroplaning in rain, only some in moderate slush. They lasted
around 90,000 mi. They were replaced with Bridgestone Turanzas which brought gas mileage
back up, and are about half gone after 40,000 miles (car presently has 249,000 miles on
it).
