General or Bridgestone

I have a 95 Nissan 240 SX. The tire size is 205 55 16. I NEED all new tires which I will be receiving as a gift. I have only 2 options, Bridgestone Potenza RE910 or General XP2000. What should I get and why? I know NOTHING about tires. Thanks. Jenny
