I had OEM Firehawks on my car. They definitely did not handle good in snow and were no great shakes in rainy conditions either. I'm not a hard charger, but the tires still only made it to 30 K miles. It's your money, but personally I will not buy Firestones again (Since Bridgestone owns Firestone, I'm avoding them too).
