Taz Associate Member	posted February 23, 2002 09:38 AM My car needs a new set of tires. Any recommendations, comments or suggestions? I have done some research online (on touring all-season tires) and have a few favorites, they are: 1)Yokohama Avid Touring (around $50) 2)Goodyears Regetta 2 ($69-75) 3)Toyo Spectrum ($65) Another question is that the current tire size is P215/60SR16. Can I replace them with P225/60HR16 or P255/55HR16? My friend told me to not change the speed rating of the tire because it would affect the suspension's operation. (Different tire compound) Thanks. donfromnaples unregistered	posted February 24, 2002 01:09 PM you can upgrade to an H rated tire with only improved performance in handling and braking, no down side to it. you can not increase your width to 255 though over the stock 215. i also like the ratings for the Goodyear Aquatred 3 compared to the tires you listed. Bob Kannenberg unregistered	posted April 04, 2002 05:44 PM I have a Park Avenue with Goodyear Regatta II Good ride but I did not feel I will get good mileage from them. I also have a Eldorado that I am going to consider the Yokohama touring for it. We shall see. IP: Logged
