Have had tires for 2 yrs (put on 98 Camry aa part of Certified Used Vehicle)and another dealer says they have now dry rot. Causes steering wheel to oscillate at low speeds. How can I find out the age of these tires; Triumph II CCVW (VDW 119) Triumph II CCVF (VDW 049,029,129)?IP: Logged |

Are you sure about VW as the second 2 letters on that one tire?My book says the other 3 tires (the ones with VF) are P215/65R15's. It doesn't make sense to have 2 different sizes, especially 3 of one and 1 of another. But to answer the question you asked. These tires were probably produced in 1999. If there is a little triangle next to these numbers then it is, otherwise it might be 1989 (which would explain the dry rot). Hope this helps. IP: Logged |

My mistake on 1st tire.It was CCVF and not CCVW. All have a little triangle next to the three digit number, meaning made in 1999. Thanks a lot for your quick response.IP: Logged | |
