Need new tires for 2000 Maxima, I am going to upgrade from a 215/55r16 to a 225/55r16. I am looking at a couple of tires: BFGoodrich KDW, Bridgestone PolePosition 3, and the TOYO T1-S or Z1. Wondering if anybody has any experience with any of these or if you could recommend a better tire than the ones listed. It rains quite a lot in New Orleans, looking for good hydroplaning resistance and good wet traction

you are looking at a lot of tire for your car, maybe a little overkill, but I can't blame you. I think all the tires you selected are excellent tires, but the Bridgestone Pole Position is the best I believe of the ones you listed. Otherwise, I would consider the Firestone Firehawk SZ50, Z rated, 340 treadwear, and matches the Pole Position in all performance categories at tirerack.com. The Poles cost $154 each, and the SZ cost $149 each also very similar. It just that the Firestones would last longer.

I too am looking to replace my TOYO 215/55/16's with something.

Right now I am considering the Mich MXV4 Plus, BS Potenza 950, and the Dunlop A2 Sport.

I am not upgrading, just want a responsive ride with little road noise.

Why the size change???

I just read all the reviews on the 950...A few really hate the tire...even some who love it say the noise is bad and the ride firm and thats what i look for (if you figure the could doctor the reviews to get you to buy what they want to sell)...someone without an ax to grind..if someone who loves it says its loud and firm I would guess its loud and firm
