Hey, need help. Just bought a 1998 Q45t. Currently has Michelin X tires with about 10K left on them. I want to get new tires and want a good performance tire. Spec calls for 215/60VR16 om aluminum alloy 7.0" X 16" factory mags.

I'm in Texas so snow and ice are not an issue. Extreme heat and long highway drives are the usual routine.

Thoughts on Michelin vs Yokohama vs Perelli. Specific tires? Thanks for the help everybody! Goin' out for a drive.

The Yokohoma dB is a very sporty tire but will not last a real long time. The Dunlop SP 5000 is close to as sticky as the Yokohoma but will last awhile longer. As for the Pirellis, you are probably thinking of the 7000 supersport, but I would leave that one alone compared with the other two I mentioned above. The Michelin makes the XGT V4 in your size but it is down lower in ratings with the Pirelli. The two I mentioned are also cheaper around $90 each at tirerack.com One of my favorite performance tires is the Bridgestone RE730 but it comes in a size about 2% larger than your current size at 225/60R16 for $100 each. The others I mentioned above are listed as high performance all season while the Bridgestone is listed only as high performance. Hope this helps you out.

Michelin XGTH4 in the 235/55-15 is best for Q45. check your load ratings. 215's are to low a low rating for a Q45. These are about a $90 tire
