I bought a used 1992 Toyota Camry that has Cooper Cobra G/T P205/70R14's. Original equipment is P195/70R14. What are the advantages and disadvantages of each of these tire sizes on this car. Also, I need new tires and am currently comparing Pirelli P400's, Goodyear Aquatread 3's, and Yokohama Aegis LS4, Avid Touring and Avid T4. I hate the Coopers. They are noisy and are horrible in the rain (always sliding!). I would like tires that are quieter, handle well (wet and dry), and can handle New York winters. Any advice on these two issues would be greatly appreciated. IP: Logged |

As far as tire size goes, the difference in the two sizes is minimal and you will likely not "feel" any differences. The odometer and speedometer differences are also negligible. So, go with whatever one you like(maybe price-wise) better. 205s may give you a slight improvement in handling and in braking due to a slightly larger contact patch. Of the tires you listed, I have read the best things about the Goodyear Aquatred 3.IP: Logged | |
