I currently have BF Goodrich Comp TA's that need replacing. I have also had Yokahama AVS in the past. Looking for something that is relatively quiet, relatively long lasting, handles well and isn't too expensive. Most of my driving is highway, and I live in San Francisco, so I drive in the rain a lot. Suggestions would be appreciated. I have been to TireTrack and like the Kumho Ecstas and Bridgeston S03s, but still looking for people who own 911's and their opinions. Thanks.

a bunch of my friends have purchased the Kumhos you mentioned and enjoy them with one exception: the sidewalls are soft and give a bit under hard cornering. Bridgestone also makes the RE 730(very high performance but a bit more all season). The S03 is an all out performance tire that will not do as well in the rain compared with the RE 730 nor will it last as long and it will cost a lot more. Also, the Toyo T1 S is a very nice tire for ultra high performance. Have you read up at the tirerack.com???IP: Logged |

Don - Thanks for the reply. I mentioned that I had been to TireRack (very helpful!) in my post. Have spent a lot of time there, in fact. However, one thing you can't search on their site for is people who own your type of car who have given feedback. I am still looking for feedback from people that own 911s and the types of tires that they are choosing. I like the Kumho price, but haven't heard much about the tires. I am also looking at the various Bridgestones. Thanks again for the reply.
