Help, I need to replace my Geo Highlanders on my Forester-S. But I don't want to go with the same tires. I drive alot in an all season climate so I need tires that get better gas mileage and wear longer. I was told one reason I'm not getting better mileage is because I have all-terrain tires. I do alot of highway driving so this is not necessary. I want good tires without spending $400 to $500. Any suggestion?

Check out the Goodyear Aquatread 3. It is a nice quiet highway tire, great in the rain and very good in snow too. They cost $67 each from tirerack.com I think you will be happy with them. Ask a Goodyear retailer or someone at the Tirerack.com

Cooper! www.coopertire.com

We just put a set of Cooper Lifeliner STEs on our Venture and we cannot believe how much more quiet they are, nor the smoothness of the ride! They replaced a set of aging General XP2000s and the difference is night and day! We also picked about 1.7 MPG in the switch. They also have an 80k miles treadwear warranty!!!
Hope this helps!
