i have '85 300 turbo diesel, needs tires. i'd like to purchase reasonably-priced american-made, perhaps bfg (radial t/a?) or cooper. size is 195/70/14, no snow here but some rain -- looking for a quieter "touring - traction" tire. any suggestions will be appreciated.IP: Logged |

touring tires, well the Pirelli P400 Touring is a great buy, Michelin X One (nice tire but a bit pricey), Goodyear Aquatred 3 is a great redesigned tire that just came out. I like to buy from tirerack.com. They have a lot of comparisons and customer reports about the tires. I had recently heard that Sears will match any advertised price (newspaper ad., mag. ad. or internet printout) for tires they sell. Sam's Club also has good prices and I know they sell the Pirelli P400 Touring. If you go to the website tirerack.com look up touring and grand touring tires. Then, look at the ratings for each category and ignore snow traction if you do not live in the snow belt. IP: Logged |
