My 2000 Honda Odyssey van came equipped with P215 65R16 Firestone Affinity tires which at 28,000 are completely shot- not to mention exhibiting circumferential cracking (2 of 4 tires) at the joint between the sidewall and tread. I cannot NOT recommend these tires strongly enough to anybody looking for tires.

Anybody know of a REAL replacement tire which has worked well on the Odyssey van ? I'm looking seriously at LT/SUV type tires, a P225-70R 16 all season/touring type, more rubber, taller, stiffer -like the Bridgestone Dueler HLs or Kelly Springfield Safari SUV tires... Any comments ?

Yep, just ask all the Malibu owners out there, how much they love their Affinity's (especially in the snow). A good truck style tire with decent handling would be the Michelin LTX M/S. Great wear and quiet for van applications.

If you don't like your OE tires complain to the car mfg. They are the ones that establish the performance of the tires.

Gee, they lasted 19K on my wife's Sienna van.
Firestone agreed to give me $50 off my next set...only problem was I had to buy Firestones.

I must be the exception. We have almost 60,000 miles on our '99 Odyssey with the original Affinity tires. However, it is time for replacement. My only complaint has been the wet traction.

i would try to stick with the stock size, or somewhat close to it, cuz if you change the tire size away from original, you will most likely loose handling performance (going from a 65 series to a 70) check out the uniroyal tigerpaw TR touring...
