I put the Michelin pilot 24540ZR17 on my SLK230 about 4 months ago and 4000 miles later the tires are bald. I would like to know if anyone had similar experiences.

What's the wear rating on those tires? That's pretty bad. Unless you're squealing away from every stop light or doing some road racing/autoX'g on them I can't imagine why they'd wear so poorly.
Do you live in a really hot climate?
