Hi
I am in the market for a new set of perfomrance tires for 1999 e46 323i sport package. The current OEM Continentals are wearing thin. I do not drive like a madman, but I do enjoy twisty roads and cornering. I would say that I maybe get to 8/10ths of the car's potential. I am looking for a very good performing tire. I have a dedictated set of snow tires, so I don't need all seasons necessarily. I am not opposed to them, but I don't need them. I don't want to get hammered by an overly harsh riding tire as the roads here near Boston can be lousy. I like the aggressive tread design of a lot of the tires I have seen. I don't want to break the bank... hopefully not more than $120 per tire. I have spent days at Tirerack.com and have honed in on a few... each time I decide on a tire I read something else to dissuade me. This analysis paralysis is maddening ! I appreciate your advice. Thanks in advance.

The Bridgestone RE-730 would be my choice. It is one of the hottest new tires introduced in recent years and I know others that are extremely satisfied with their performance.

James is right. The Bridgestone RE 730 is a great tire for the price and will last a decent while for a performance tire too. You will love them on your BMW

I too have heard good things about these tires EXCEPT that they are noisy as they wear so I am thinking about the Yokohama AVS db tires. Tirerack touts them. Anyone have any experience?
