 |  posted April 10, 2001 11:15 AM     Just bought a 93 ranger that has bad rubber all around. existing tires are Firestone Firehawks.
 I live in Chicago, so good winter performance is a must. Will be using as basic transportation, no offroading. So far am leaning twards the Uniroyal Tiger Paws with nailguard. Any suggestions would be appreciated. IP: Logged |

 Dude- The Firestone Firehawks are under RECALL (some of em) you might get some $ back from Firestone for this. Be careful. I like the look of the Bridgestone DUELER HLs (not HTs) and lower in price, the Kelly Springfield Safari SUV tires (I got a quote here for 4 Kellys, P225-70R 16 for $353 -out the door, FYI) Good looking all season type tires, look to ride pretty quiet on the street with a tread design to also handle rain pretty well.
