Please offer any advice - looking for new tires for '96 4Runner SR5. Only "off-road" 3-4 times a year, otherwise general street driving.IP: Logged |

on road tires for SUVs-i have the Bridgestone Dueler H/Lfor off road the Bridgestone Dueler H/T or A/T I have the H/L and love them on our Explorer. IP: Logged |

I too like the Bridgestone Dueler H/L. You also may want to check out Michelin. If you have a warehouse club memebership, they sell a great SUV tire. It may be known as the XC LT4 or the X Radial LT. Both are the same as the LTX M/S which is available at Michelin dealers.The Michelins are more expensive and generally give longer mileage but the Bridgestones handle better and ride smoother. Also check out BFG Radial Long Trail T/A (good price but lousy in the snow). My local warehouse place had Goodyear Wrangler GS-A for $70 which is a great price for that tire; they're usually close to $100.
