I am replacing the tires on my 1997 Ford Taurus GL (205/65/15). I don't know very much about tires, so I am looking for a little advice. I live in Minnesota so I want tires that will get me through the snow, ice, rain, heat and humidity. I would like the tires to last about 50k miles (or more), and be reasonably priced. I read somewhere that the Yokohama Aegis LS4 is good, and a fellow at Sears told me that Cooper makes a good tire in my size. I'm having a hard time finding any good reviews of tires, so if you have used any tires that would fit my car I would appreciate your opinion on them. Thanks for amy help you can give me.IP: Logged |

Go to tirerack.com for reviews and ratings of a wide variety of tires. I purchased my last set of tires based on their reviews and I was completely satisfied.Good Luck IP: Logged |

i am also a big tirerack.com fan. bought my last 3 sets of tires from them and have had nothing but a great experience with a great price from them. I believe the Yokohomas you mentioned were given a nice review in Consumer Reports. I like the Pirelli P400 Touring which last a long time, does pretty well in all weather, and is very affordable. since you are in MN, you may want to have the Guardex for snow driving and another touring tire for non-snow weather. you can find a lot of customer survey results at tirerack to see if other people had good luck with a particular tire or not.
