My Goodyear GA on my 93'Accord need to be changed. One dealer recommended me the X-1. Another dealer recommended Pilot XGT-H4. After looking into the message on this board, X-1 is a T-rated tire not H-rated. Most people do not like XGT-H4 (old design). Should I keep using H-rated? Does anyone have their experience on X-1 or Pilot XGT-H4(new design). I am driving in Vancouver, Canada. a lots of rain with few days of snow.

Both tires will have comparable all season traction capabilities regarding your comments of wet and snow conditions you drive in. Decision regarding these two tires can simply come down to performance capabilities and mileage expectations. As you mentioned the X1 being T rated and the XGT being H. Depending on your driving style and needs. In real world comparison you can bank on a minimum of 50% more mileage from the X1. If the GA you are now on are H rated that would be a good reason to stay with an H rated tire, your used to the performance related capabilites of this type of product. A T rated would mean your downgrading and you'd have to get used to the levels of performance related characteristics associated with such. If your into higher mileage = X1. Other wise Pilot XGT H4 would offer the best balance of performance, ride & milage.

It is wonderful to ride my pilot XGT H4 in the rain. My wheels do not spin on the wet stop line. I am glad I got the michelin.
