OK, so I've got more than one question actually.
1)Does anyone know, or know where I can find out, the stock wheel offset on my '84 bird without pulling a wheel and trying to measure for myself?
2)I'm wanting to increase the wheel diameter and use lower profile tires (the current ones are 195/75R14) for better performance (and because the larger wheels look better than the tiny 14 inchers). I'm thinking of going for a "Plus 2" setup. How can I be sure if the wider tires/wheels will fit in the wheel well without rubbing? If it won't, is altering the offset an option?
3)Any other suggestions?

I had an '83 TBird and put Ronal R7 16" rims on it with 245/45 tires. I could rub the front sway bar(but this was an aftermarket thicker bar as well) on a full turn. ask the guys at tirerack.com what sizes they recommend.
