whullsiek Associate Member	posted January 06, 2001 07:52 PM I just spent all morning going to tire dealers, and all afternoon at www.tirerack.com (great site), the early this evening at Autopedia. Anyways, I am replacing General XP 2000 GT P215/70R15 which is a Performance All-Season M+S. These are for a Chevy Venture Van Ext 4DR. Looking for a tire M+S tire, but that handles very well (sometimes forget it is a mini-van not my old rx-7). I am looking at following tires: 1. Yokohama Avid S/T 2. BF Goodrich Control T/A M65 3. Michelin X-One 4. Bridgestone Turanza T The Avid's appear to be the best value. The BF Goodrich Control T/A a better tire. DaveB unregistered	posted January 07, 2001 01:35 AM Actually, the BFG Control T/A M80 is probably a better tire on a Venture. In a van application the M80 is a sturdier tire but that depends on the driving conditions. I have talked to a few people with these on and they have been very happy so far. This includes gravel roads. Mind you I have not seen M65's on one of these vans. The M65's seem more at home on lighter vehicles (to me anyway). IP: Logged
whullsiek Associate Member	posted January 14, 2001 09:51 PM According to my Tire Dealer, the M80 are not available until March. I put on the M65 last week and drove through the snow this morning. A lot better than the Generals ever were. IP: Logged
